No pressure. Even if I’m not a fit for your needs, I can put together the perfect solution for you from my extensive network of partners.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER, FACILITATOR, AND TRAINER
For over 15 years, I have helped organizations develop their people. Whether an intense full-day course in interpersonal communication for a classroom of 20 or a lively keynote for 1000 people in improvisational living, my programs focus on answering the question, “what will be different on Monday?”
CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER FOR LIVE MEETINGS
Great meetings are great trainings. I coach event sponsors to identify what must change in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of their attendees. Then, I use my theater background to evoke the right emotions for the event. Sometimes celebratory and fun. Sometimes poignant and heartfelt. I direct events based on an organization’s values, brand, culture, and—my personal favorite—their performance improvement goals.
When I started using improv as a teaching tool, very little was written about this emerging field. Now, as more serious practitioners begin identifying with Applied Improvisation, I am proud to support the next generation of Improv-Based Trainers through workshops and writings on Instructional Design for Applied Improvisation.

IMPROV-BASED TRAINERS
Talent Development needs more Improv! I regularly present at various professional and academic organizations on the value of improvisation in personal and professional development. As Applied Improvisation gains in popularity, established Talent Developers are looking for ways to bring these tenets into their own organizations. I advise Talent Development teams and departments on how to use these approaches while still saying “learner-centered, performance-based.”
ADVOCATE AND CONSULTANT FOR IMPROV IN TALENT DEVELOPMENT
I’m lucky enough to get back to my roots as an improv performer, teacher, and coach from time to time. My improv career has focused on short-form improv, popularized by TV shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway!? and Wild ‘n Out, as well as my artistic home for nearly 20 years: ComedySportz®. When my schedule allows, I love working with improv students and entire teams on improvising short-form scenes with integrity and passion.
TEACHING IMPROVISERS and improv teams
And yes, I still perform. Whenever I can, I try to play ComedySportz®, whether that’s in my own hometown at CSz Theatre Chicago or sitting in with another team in CSz Worldwide. I also still write, direct, and perform some corporate comedy interstitials for annual meetings when it supports one of my clients’ goals for their event.
